Wide Angle is inviting ANONYMOUS submissions either by faculty or students. Publication of any and all materials is up to the discretion of the editorial staff. The Critical Essay category includes any argumentative academic essays written from theoretical, historical, philosophical, sociological, scientific, interdisciplinary, or other critical frameworks. All critical essay submissions must be grounded in a literary subject. 

Submissions should follow current MLA style guidelines and be free of any grammatical errors.

1. Reviews of recently released novels, short stories, poetry collections, scholarly works, and anthologies. Reviews should be around 1000 words.

2. Reviews of recently released films, DVDs/BluRays, and scholarly works pertaining to cinema. Reviews should be around 1000 words.

Commentaries on recent literature or film-related events (poetry readings, poetry competitions, plays, author readings, conferences, lectures, popular films, film adaptations, etc) or other topics in print and film culture. Commentaries should be around 1000 words.

Three types of creative submissions are welcomed:

1. Poetry can be submitted as individual poems or in a collection of up to three related poems. 

2. Short fiction and creative non-fiction should not exceed thirty pages.

3. Screenplays should be no shorter than 10 pages and no longer than 90 pages.
